Duties
The Assistant Inspector General for Management ("AIGM") is the Inspector General's senior representative responsible for all matters related to the administration and resources of the Office of Inspector General and is responsible for the effective and efficient use of OIG's resources. The primary function of this position is to provide management and oversight of the use of the OIG's resources. Develops and disseminates internal procedures to accomplish OIG administrative, training, external reporting, records management, budget, finance, contracting, and information technology objectives as well as to insure coordination and control of these matters in the office and with the Office of Managing Director. Keeps informed of proposed new and/or revised programs, projects and activities throughout OIG; in consultation with OIG staff identifies potential problems (including impact on other programs and activities), evaluates alternatives and informs the Inspector General of same; assists the Inspector General in assessing the management, administrative and resources implications and consequences of the same; submits recommendations to the IG on revisions to OIG priorities, resource and position allocations, management and administrative systems and other related subjects.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Current Federal employees asking to be considered under Merit Promotion procedures must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Candidates must meet all of the specialized experience requirements outlined below in order to be deemed as qualified.
GS-15 Specialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience in or equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. For this position specialized experience includes:
Experience planning, coordinating, and executing business functions, resource allocation, and production; Experience utilizing principles and practices of budget administration and analysis, including developing, justifying, managing, reporting on, and executing budgets, and the relationships among budgets, accounting, reporting systems, and programs; Experience applying principles, concepts and practices of employee recruitment and development, as they relate to planning, supervising, evaluating, training, career development and organizational development; and Experience demonstrating effective interchange information, ideas and facts clearly and convincingly, verbally and in writing, with individuals or groups, taking into account diverse audiences and nature of the information, be it technical, sensitive or controversial.
