Duties
In this position you will serve as the Insider Threat Branch Chief. This position starts at a salary of $132,368.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $172,075.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $172,075 (GS-14 Step 10).
Major duties include:
Providing authoritative and comprehensive advice and assistance to the National Security Division (NSD) ensure the integration and validation of CBP's Insider Threat Program (ITP) with internal and external stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining strategic and collaborative partnerships with the ITP's internal and external stakeholders to champion and improve stakeholder interactions to enhance the ITP's mission excellence.
Ensuring that all processes associated with the ITP align with all pertinent CBP legal authorities, policies, and guidelines; and complies with accepted standards, including those established by the CBP Intelligence Enterprise Key Intelligence Officials and the DHS departmental guidance.
Establishing and maintaining a close working relationship with regional and national-level counterparts on insider threat matters to promote unity of effort and synergy throughout the whole of government.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Overseeing division level or branch level operations contributing to the production of strategic, operational, or tactical intelligence outcomes and products supporting agency Intelligence Enterprise (IE) missions.
Managing division level or branch level intelligence programs and ensuring successful integration with agency and/or U.S. government processes and programs.
Executing intelligence and operational assignments while providing guidance in terms of agency policies, missions, goals, and objectives.
Leading the Intelligence Cycle processes and outputs relating to all source research methodologies, tradecraft standards, and report writing.

You must:
Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 08/07/2023.

Probationary Period: All employees new to the federal government must serve a one year probationary period during the first year of his/her initial permanent federal appointment to determine fitness for continued employment.
