About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, VA is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Provides, through commercial shipyard contractor activities, contract progress reports, detailed budgetary expenditures and summaries of all transactions involving the contract work.
Performs Property Book Officer duties responsible for inventory and control of property (issue and turn-in) to include ADP equipment.
Prepare of program projections which includes a yearly budget of $25 million for depot level marine maintenance programs including emergency drydockings.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) compile data to generate historical reports and records on vessels; 2) prepare status reports reflecting costing, schedules, performance progress, etc. for projects; AND 3) assist in the monitoring of program charges and payments to contractors for vessel repair. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as Marine Science or Maritime Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
