This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is a Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-13 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Real Estate Division.

Duties
Responsible and accountable for all real estate portfolio management and disposal, acquisition and leasing functions.
Serves as a key member of the Real Estate Division budgeting team, providing past and projected workload for budget and execution planning and developing P2 worksheets for all programmatic functions.
Provides policy and regulatory guidance of real estate activities concerning all types of outgrants, in leases, acquisitions and all other inquiries concerning such matters.
Develops subordinates to independently research and perform work within funding provided.
Personally represents the agency in discussions, deliberations, negotiations, and completion of highly complex actions and/or sensitive situations involving the management and disposal, acquisitions and leasing of interests in real property.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must complete a one-year supervisory probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Incumbent is required to travel/perform Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 25%.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes [insert examples of specialized experience]. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service 1) Experience using a wide range of real estate laws, principles, concepts, policies, regulations, authorities, methods, and practices; OR 2) Negotiating complex agreements that are politically sensitive in nature; OR 3) Performing the acquisition of the real estate by either lease or direct purchase.
