About the Position: This positions is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Administration, Human Resource Civilian Personnel, Honolulu Hawaii.
Duties
Performs a wide variety of technical, administrative, and clerical tasks in support of the overall human resource management (HRM) responsibility for the Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC).
Provides administrative management of the DoD Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP).
Establishes, monitors and tracks appropriate suspense's and distributes announcements, guidance, and reminders to TAMC public.
Prepares, audits, publishes, and explains appraisal status reports to support command compliance.
Administers, coordinates, and monitors civilian awards, to include performance, incentive, honorary, and length of service awards.
Serves as assistant on matters pertaining to workforce management activities, which involves a wide variety of technical, administrative, and clerical tasks in support of the organizations overall human resource management (HRM) responsibility.
Uses a variety of automated systems and computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Access, CPOL, the Customer Service Unit (CSU).

GS-05:
Experience: Specialized experience is defined as having at least one year of experience providing administrative support and assistance; using automated databases to enter and maintain information; and preparing standard forms and files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
GS-06:
Experience: Specialized experience is defined as having at least one year of experience supporting personnel programs to include performance evaluations and awards programs; using automated databases to manipulate and retrieve information; preparing various reports, forms and files and screening records or documents for completeness, accuracy and regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources, Business Administration or Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
GS-07:
Experience: Specialized experience is defined as having at least one year of experience analyzing human resources regulations and policies to process personnel actions; administering personnel programs to include performance evaluations, appraisals, and awards programs; using automated personnel databases to submit, extract, and compile personnel data; preparing reports for management and seniors; and providing program guidance and advisory services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources, Business Administration or Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement:
GS-05 - Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
GS-06 - Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
GS-07 - Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
