About the Position: U.S. Army Public Health Command enhancing Army readiness by identifying and assessing current and emerging health threats, developing and communicating public health solutions, and assuring the quality and effectiveness of the Army's Public Health Enterprise.
Duties
Provide Command Team with travel information, such as per diem, lodging, auto and airline reservations.
Prepare routine correspondence, formal correspondence and other documents. Thoroughly reviews correspondence and other work prepared by others for content, correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and appropriate format.
Maintain Commander and Command Sergeant Major's calendar and schedule appointments based on needs of the organization.
Uses a variety of office automation software in support of the organization
Reviews documents prepared by other staff; provides guidance on correspondence; and ensures the accuracy of correspondence prepared by subordinate units
Maintain office records of various types that may be needed or will assist in the efficient operation of the office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Performing and coordinating a variety of clerical and administrative work to include; scheduling appointments and coordinating telecommunications for an office staff; 2) Coordinating travel plans using the Defense Travel System (DTS); 3) Interacting with high ranking officials; and 4) Receiving/screening visitors/telephone calls. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05).
