This position is located in the Technology Policy Unit (TPU) of the Expert Analysis Group (EAG) within the Antitrust Division (Division) and reports to the Chief of the TPU. The incumbent serves as a Program Management Specialist performing administrative assignments of a highly sensitive nature.

Duties

As a Program Management Specialist in the TPU, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Serving as a primary point of contact for all TPU administrative matters and engaging with the Chief Economist, Section Chiefs, and EAG leadership to comment on requests that have a technology component. Attending meetings with the Senior Technologist and TPU Chief and delivering presentations in both formal and informal settings, as directed. Providing advisory services to EAG's senior management and supervisors on extremely sensitive, complex, or controversial correspondence. Establishing and developing procedures, plans, objectives, and timeframes to support the high volume of requests for comments regarding technology policy. Coordinating and managing the interfacing of case teamwork with the TPU to obtain input on a variety of technology cases with digital technology as the largest application area. Conducting research to ensure that accurate, reliable, and acceptable information is provided to offices within the Division, the Department, other federal agencies, state and local governments, private organizations and citizens, United States and foreign government officials. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring proper and timely attention is devoted to high level, high priority, urgent, and/or controversial issues, problems, or situations. Managing administrative processes, prioritizing workloads, and troubleshooting problems for TPU internal technology consulting with EAG. Developing long-range plans, goals, and objectives. Implementing and coordinating a variety of technology special projects and studies of interest for EAG concerning all phases of EAG and Division operations. Responsible for planning, defining, and delineating tasks, milestones, and determining resource requirements for each project assigned. Monitoring the progress of work, including adherence to methods and procedures, and prioritizing the work, including the development of assignments and schedules. Giving advice or instructions and/or procedural guidance to EAG employees on both work and administrative matters. Facilitating the preparation of a broad range of information resources and documents critical to policy and decision-making processes. Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-12 level your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. This experience must be identified in your resume. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the GS-11 level include: Prioritizing workload and monitoring the progress of work; Resolving complex program issues and ensuring adherence to procedures; Developing long-range plans, goals and objectives for special projects; and Establishing and communicating critical policies and procedures to support the mission of an organization.
