About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 99th Readiness Division, Area Maintenace Support Activity (AMSA) 21 located in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Duties
Recommend labor distribution codes to keep accurate records.
Generate reports and correspondence utilizing Microsoft Office products.
Maintain a database to determine equipment service intervals.
Maintain registers of equipment repairs within the maintenance activity.
Notify supported customers of delays in expected completion dates.
Prepare production control schedule for maintenance shop.
Advise on maintenance regulations.
Utilize proper purchase card procedures to obtain supplies for the organization.
Research hard to find parts for the organization to purchase.
Operate motor vehicles to pick-up/deliver parts and supplies to other areas.
Review equipment received to check for discrepancies by visual inspection.
Update property book registers as equipment leaves or returns to the maintenance activity.
Verify incoming shipments against receipt documents.
Monitor supply inventories for the organization.
Report inventory shortages to determine if more items need to be purchased.
Monitor supply documents for the organization.
Interpret supply regulations to properly request supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
- This position requires a valid State Driver's license.

Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves utilizing automated systems to schedule/track repairs or work requests; maintain equipment/supply logs or production control records; receive/issue/stock supplies, tools or parts; dispatch vehicles; or conduct inventories. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
