About the Position: Serves as the Installation Property Book Officer with responsibility for overall management, direction, control and supervision of the Installation Property Book Office. Performs duties associated with administration of the full range of property management as the Command appointed and fully accountable Installation Property Book Officer (IPBO) for a Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) and/or tenant activities.
Duties
Serves as the LRC Installation Property Book Officer utilizing the Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) to account for and manage the property assets
Reports property records discrepancies and adjusts property records in accordance with Army/DoD/Federal, Army Materiel Command (AMC), Army Sustainment Command (ASC), and IMCOM policy.
Establishes and implements proper local policy for storage of property held in inventory in support of property book management operations. Initiates, reviews and establishes priorities of proposals for PBUSE improvement.
Performs annual 100% inventory of all accountable property.
Ensures the update and currency of hand receipts and audit trail records for all accountable property and reconciles hand receipts with the property book.
Plans the work of two subordinates.
Requirements

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.

Specialized Experience is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience: 1.) Maintaining accountability for property; 2). Assisting in tracking all equipment related purchases; 3). Assuring all acquired property is properly managed; and 4.) Preparing inventory lists as required to conduct inventories and adjusting property records as required to ensure accuracy.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain management or Business Administration.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
