THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5696000 and is part of the CO AASF, National Guard.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a General Supply Specialist in a developmental capacity.
Duties
Performs developmental assignments of moderately difficult and complex nature consisting of well-precedented tasks designed to orient the employee in the application of General Supply programs and activities. Performs recurring assignments. Independently performs work assignments which gradually increase in difficulty and complexity. Carries out special projects and participates in special initiatives and studies. Prepares written correspondence and other documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.

Must have experience or knowledge in each of the following:
1. In the principles, concepts, and theories of one or more technical supply specializations, and the standard practices, methods, and techniques of the occupation sufficient to perform difficult, but well-precedented assignments.
2. Analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives.
3. In one or more technical supply specializations to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly.
Preferred experience:
-Knowledge of and experience in the use of GCSS-Army or other enterprise material management system.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
