The incumbent is involved in one or more recreational activities such as military or community support activities. The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information on the use of equipment.
Duties
Perform a variety of duties in support of Community Recreation Programs that may include: MWR events, tickets, outdoor rental program, MWR Parks and Picnic Areas, RV Park, RV Storage, Deployment Lot, Car Wash, Auto Hobby Shop, etc. May assist in clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance as it pertains to Community Recreation.
Performs numerous functions in support of program deliver to include: inventory control, equipment inspection, equipment upkeep, restocking, event set up and breakdown, etc. Provides customer service by assisting customers with equipment-related questions, equipment check-out and check-in and providing information and referral regarding outdoor recreation activities and local points of interest.
Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Must pass all applicable records and background check.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- As a condition of employment participation in direct deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer upon employment is required.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to learn MWR policies, rules and regulations.
- Must have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Successful completion of a National Agency background check is required for employment.
- Must be able to obtain Emergency First Responder or CPR certification, Food Handlers and CARE training, where applicable within the first 90 days of employment.
Knowledge and interest in outdoor recreation activities preferred.
Education
This position does not have a positive education requirement.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
