About the position: This position will be assigned to the Pentagon. This is a regular full time position with benefits.

Duties

Assists the Outdoor Recreation Director in the economic and efficient operation of the Information, Tickets and Travel (ITT) Desk. Works with the Director to implement higher level directives; makes recommendations for improved services; develops promotional programs to increase participation. Assists with the development of the annual budget and financial planning to include sales, contracts, programs and capital requirements. Tracks ticket inventory, making adjustments necessary to meet budget goals. Reviews and evaluates sources used for the purchase of supplies, equipment and resale items; establishes new or varied sources for improved selection to better meet changing customer demands. Resolves deviations and problems through proper sources. Responsible for staff training. Responsible for conducting inventory of equipment/supplies and ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained. Oversees operation of desk. Designs and develops publicity/ marketing materials to promote use of facility. Receives and resolves customer complaints and requests. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Progressively responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of management principles and practices. Experience may have been gained in an operation, administrative or managerial position, which included responsibility for various phases of operations, such as desk management, facility/equipment management. Specialized experience in a facility which provides basic knowledge of programs, procedures, and rules, and which provided an in-depth knowledge of the operations of at least one of the functions of an ITT facility. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
