The primary purpose of this position is to stock, store, issue and distribute over 31,000 communications security (COMSEC) line items and equipment.
Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.
Duties
Conduct and performs property accountability and management of key communication security (COMSEC) material. Maintain accurate records showing receipt, storage location, shipping, inventory, and destruction of COMSEC materials.
Conduct and manage inventory of COMSEC accounts and control duties. Coordinates and monitors all phases of the inventory process.
Perform item management duties. Ensures adequate documentation is maintained to support proposed adjustments and recommendations.
Uses varied and advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.
Perform general clerical support work. Maintains and annotates files with minimal errors providing for easy and timely location and retrieval of material.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be assigned.
- TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE PAID.

- Drug Testing. This position has been designated by Air Force as a Testing Designated Position {TOP) under the Sir Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- Illegal drug use by employee in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- Work requires some physical exertion such as Jong periods of standing, walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities and moderate lifting ( 15- 44 lbs).
- In the event of a war, a war-related emergency, a disaster caused by people, a natural disaster, or an exercise the member of this position may be recalled during non-duty hours to perform duties to support an assigned Air Force mission.

- Assist in preparation of emergency action plans according to USAF directives for disposal or removal of COMSEC materials in case of emergency or natural disaster.

- Position requires the ability to acquire and maintain a military driver's license to operate forklifts up to 6,000 pounds capacity and vehicles up to 2-1/2 tons.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Incumbent of this position is subject to the provisions of DoD 5210.42-Regulation and AFMAN I 0-3902, Nuclear Weapons Personnel Reliability Program (PRP). (Code D -Controlled).
Qualifications
This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of governing COMSEC regulations, supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Requires practical knowledge of standard procedures where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment of one of the major areas of supply management. Knowledge of the nature and capability of telecommunications, word process, and database software procedures and function keys to perform a substantial range of functions such as importing graphs or databases, aligning multiple columns, automatically printing documents identification, and sending and revolving secure information. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of standardized supply procedures/functions/operations, forms and nomenclature, program requirements and work methods. Performs warehouse functions. Performs transportation (freight) and cargo movement functions.
2. Ability to research, compile, maintain and analyze supply information and reconcile discrepancies related to supply records, files, data and document files. Must possess knowledge of safety and security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
3. Knowledge of supply inventory management and accountability procedures and regulations. Knowledge of automated inventory management systems to include CLASS, CDAS, and CMCS.
4. Knowledge of common clerical office procedures and routines as well as the ability to operate word processing/office automation equipment and programs. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc. to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems.
5. Ability to ensure proper format, compliance with established policies/procedures, correct spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and basic grammar when preparing correspondence and reports. Ability to follow oral or written instructions and communicate orally in dealing with customers.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
