You will serve as a UT SYS REPAIRER/OPERATOR SUPERVISOR I in the Public Works Division of MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will plan the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools on a day-to-day basis or project-by-project basis. You will track and report progress on work assignments. You will maintain a thorough and current knowledge of boilers and equipment. You will assign work to individuals. You will provide direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes. You will adjust plans, assignments, and methods as necessary to accomplish the work as effectively and economically feasible. You will know the functions, safety factors, and operations of all boilers. You will interpret and evaluate operating conditions of steam generating equipment. You will solve problems of operations. You will take safety precautionary measures necessary to prevent damage to boilers and injury personnel. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
