About the Position: About the Position: The position is with the Mississippi Valley Division - Office of Diversity & Leadership. This position is responsible for the management of various programs and special projects to include expert technical, consultation, advice and assistance to HQUSACE, Division headquarters, and subordinate Districts/Centers. This position will be located in Vicksburg, MS and will allow for situational telework only. This position is NOT eligible for full time telework.

Duties

Maintain regulatory compliance, quality controls and/or availability of necessary resources. Ensure effective communication between various levels of EEO programs within the organization. Evaluate new and complex legislation, policies, directives, regulations, and/or procedures. Develop EEO program standards and evaluation criteria. Conduct regular assessments of EEO program effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Position requires travel up to 20% of time.

Specialized Experience GS-13: I have one year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes; Providing assistance with EEO policy execution; Assist in developing solutions for EEO programs; and communicate effectively with other EEO leaders, both oral and written. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Specialized Experience GS-14: I have one year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes; Conducting research of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs to ensure proper policy execution throughout the agency; Maintaining effective communication with EEO senior leaders throughout the agency; Developing strategies and/or solutions for EEO program initiatives and Maintaining oversight of various EEO programs, such as: Alternate Dispute Resolution Program, EEO Complaints Policy and/or No FEAR Program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
