About the Position: Serve as the Director of Resource and Acquisition Management for Office Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G-3/5/7, responsible for the core budget and procurement programs in the Army's decentralized system with oversight of the total ODCS, G-3/5/7 budget and procurement programs and the Family Principal Point of Contact.
Duties
Supervise budget, contracting, manpower documentation, and other resource analysts completing directorate work to provide an independent quick reaction analysis and assessment capability of command programs and resources.
Provide budgetary and contracting technical leadership for all staff elements and commands/activities with budget reporting responsibilities.
Perform program wide reviews to ensure that resource levels meet workload requirements to prepare a balanced resource program supporting all activities funded through the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G-3/5/7.
Prepare the execution plan for $400M+ budget.
Advise 16 program managers on the status and availability of funds and contract management.
Provide intensive research and evaluation of plans, program formulation, and budget defense across all appropriations and the broad aspects of activity program requirements in terms of missions, policy, and program objectives and output capability.
Provide briefing and written reports on programs to Assistant Deputy G-3/5/7 (SES) and Headquarters, Department of Army staff level which reflects the latest information on changing workloads, new missions, and current actions.
Direct the work of an element responsible for administrative and manpower activities throughout the organization?s headquarters, and Field Operating Agencies.
Requirements
- This is a drug testing designated position. Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Info. Intelligence security clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
