About the Position: This position will serve as a Supervisory Construction Control Representative for the Louisville District US Army Corps of Engineers, Planning, Programs & Project Management, Technical Support Branch, duty station Sault Ste Marie, MI.
Duties
Coordinates the work with Contractors' personnel and representatives of the using service to assure timely and satisfactory accomplishment of all contracts.
Analyzes problems and reviews and interprets the requirement of plans and specifications for subordinate personnel, Contractor representatives, and other interested persons.
Exercises surveillance to assure the Contractor is conducting quality control operations to produce work in conformance with plans and specifications.
Performs Contracting Officer Representative duties in accordance with delegation letter on designated projects.
Plans and coordinates work of the quality assurance staff of the Resident Office. Converts overall workload into positions. Sets priorities and prepares work schedules.
Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities, schedules work phases, and makes work assignments based on urgency of the work and subordinates capabilities.
Establishes performance standards and makes performance evaluations. Initiates performance awards. Gives administrative advice, counsel or instruction to subordinates.
Confers with Contractor's representatives on matters pertaining to interpretation of plans and specifications.

One year of specialized experience: defined as administrative and operational expert with expertise with regards to construction management. Experienced in quality assurance, safety management and project controls for USACE (or other) designated Projects. Ability to utilize experience to project assumptions and derive criteria from variable data in order to coordinate, plan and monitor full range of construction administration and management functions, equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service GS-12.
