One full-time and one full-time seasonal position with 18 pay periods of work and 8 pay periods in nonpay status each year with the Juneau Ranger District in Juneau, AK. Point of contact is Tristan Fluharty at

Duties
Ability to work independently, make decisions, plan operations, show job responsibility, and exercise initiative in maintaining facilities.
Utilize elementary knowledge of different skills and related tools of the trade to assist with repair of plumbing, drainage systems, roofs, carpentry projects, grounds and street repairs, flooring, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Perform general carpentry work to maintain facilities by applying standard measurements, specifications, and instructions when constructing, installing, or repairing items.
Use a variety of common hand and power tools to achieve basic assembly and fastening procedures.
Measure and cut materials to required lengths and dimensions based on instructions and specifications.
Perform general maintenance assignments from detailed instructions.
Keep a stock of cleaning materials, restroom supplies, and equipment needed and inform supervisor when more materials are needed.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.
