About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Logistics Directorate, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL 33040 J4.
Duties
Manages regulatory compliance of the acquisition, procurement, requisitioning and control of supplies, equipment, and project materials using a variety of Supply Management Automated Systems and Databases.
Reviews and edits customer requests for initial and replacement equipment prior to forwarding to the Resource Management Division for funding action.
Provides advice and guidance on supply procedures and requirements to JIATF-South and its customer users.
Recommends approval/disapproval of requests for changes to equipment authorizations (TAADS) for peacetime and operational documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel will be required 25% or less of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience to the next lower grade (GG/GS-09) which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience which includes performing property supply accountability functions (i.e., coordination report of surveys, hand receipt and distribution, storage, and disposal of equipment; and utilizing supply automated systems (i.e., General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS, etc.).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
