DFC ranked a Best Places to Work in 2022. This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Development Policy (ODP). As a Gender Equity Specialist you will be responsible for leading the operationalization and implementation of DFCs Gender Equity and 2X Women's Initiative programming.

Duties

Lead the operationalization and implementation of the DFC's Gender Equity and 2X Women's Initiative programming; ensure that all parts of DFC that play a role in implementing these agency-wide initiatives are properly engaged. Collaborate with relevant teams, including 2X Gender Champions and sector leads across DFC. Launch and manage the 2X Technical Assistance (TA) Facility. Develop the policies and operational procedures of the Facility, considering input from external partners and internal stakeholders. Work with investment officers across DFC to identify opportunities where technical assistance will strengthen clients' work on gender equity and steward clients through the TA process. Collaborate with the Impact Management, Monitoring and Learning (IMML) team and others to strengthen measurement and monitoring of gender equity and 2X-related activities, approaches, and data collection methodology. Coordinate with IMML to analyze data and produce reports on DFC 2X Gender Equity activities, including but not limited to Congressional and Administration requests and mandated reporting. Please Note: This is not a Bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to 1) Support implementation of a gender equity program, for example the 2X Women's Initiative program; AND 2) Engage with private companies and/or investors on implementing gender equity initiatives, such as gender lens investing. Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This announcement may be used to fill similar positions, if additional vacancies occur.
