Duties
Responsible for the technical and administrative supervision of operation and maintenance (O&M) of Navajo Dam and Reservoir. supervising workers directly in accomplishing the work of O&M of Navajo Dam and Reservoir:
Plan full range of work operations; determines the sequence, priority, and time for the performance of operations and maintenance within the limits of broader work schedules and time limits; and exercises delegated technical and administrative authority.
Review work products of subordinates and accept, amend or reject work.
Recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements and work operation directed by other supervisors.
Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determine causes.
Direct and perform the operation and maintenance of Navajo Dam and Reservoir.
Regulate the releases from Navajo Reservoir with guidance from the Southern Water Management Group, Regional Office Water Resources Group, and Regional Power Office.
Perform routine inspections of facilities noting deterioration, erosion, wear and tear. Advises superiors of problems or potential problems.
Direct the performance of or performs the routine data collection of the instrumentation installations at Navajo Dam.
Repair and maintain all Project equipment, Ensures that proper maintenance records are kept, and that preventative and operator maintenance is performed on schedule.
Supervise and conductsafety and health programs for subordinates.
