This position is located for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System at the Menlo Park VA Medical Center in Menlo Park, CA, and performs Agent Cashier and Employee Travel duties along with a variety of complex and specialized accounting transactions in support of the Fiscal team mission.
Duties

The Financial Accounting Technician with combined responsibilities of Agent Cashier and Employee Travel is responsible for a variety of complex and specialized accounting transactions in support of the Fiscal team mission.
Qualifications
To meet the qualifications of the position you must have the following:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6) in the Federal service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties independently of a Financial Accounts Technician, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience: Experience performing financial accounting functions (e.g., handling funds, processing payments, posting financial transaction information, balancing financial accounts). NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week.
