You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the SUBMARINE ONBOARD SIGNATURES BRANCH, CODE 7131, of the SIGNATURES DEPARTMENT of CARDEROCK DIV NS. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

You will serve as the Section Head Supervisor for Code 7131 at Carderock. You will provide structureborne vibration analysis for SSN 688, SSBN 726, and SSN 774 class submarines for acoustic trials. You will provide Hydrophone SPL analysis for SSN 688, SSBN/GN 726, and SSN 774 class submarines for acoustic trials.

• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
• You will be required to work onboard ships.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical engineering project oversight and applying engineering principles and methodologies to provide structure vibration analysis for submarine acoustic testing trails.
