You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.
Duties
You will inspect physical security devices and make recommendations for fences, locks, alarms and safes.
You will maintain accountabilities for all keys aboard the installation, to include procurement, replacement, and duplication of key cores, and locksmith equipment.
You will evaluate electronic security systems for their potential to include reviewing designs of the systems.
You will assist in the development of security and crime prevention policy.
You will provide security educational training that stresses security responsibilities to every Marine and civilian employee.
You will render appropriate customs and courtesies per Marine Corps Order and installation policy.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and must be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in planning, coordinating, and managing security activities, performing security risk analysis, and determining the appropriate level of protection needed for security administration and facilities.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
