This position is located in the United States Mint, Sales and Marketing Directorate, Sales Division. The Sales and Marketing Directorate focuses on the United States Mint's marketing and brand management strategies and growth of the numismatic bulk and bullion coin business lines through special programs and projects and managing Key Account numismatic bulk and bullion Authorized Purchaser (Primary Dealer), customer expectations and relationships.
Duties
As a Bulk Manager, you will:
Be responsible for overall marketing and program management for the numismatic B2B "bulk" and bullion coin programs and is accountable for the `bulk' and bullion team's efforts and results.
Monitor the team's quality of work and rate of progress, prepare performance appraisals, counsel team members regarding performance success and lapses and counsel team members on career development plans and recommend training needs.
Provide technical oversight and guidance over the product life cycle for numismatic 'bulk'/bullion coin programs, monitor performance and return on investment (ROI) of product sales; monitor product performances for sales, profitability, and to ensure premiums charged are sufficient to cover program costs, etc.; develop and implement plans to create competitive positioning for products with other Sales and Marketing Directorate Program Managers; and coordinate the development of pricing/premium structures for numismatic and or bullion coin products based on collaboration with the CFO to ensure all program-related costs are sufficiently covered.
Monitor market trends, help develop product forecasts, identify and develop information required for use in the management and direction of numismatic/bullion programs; analyze management information requirements to develop reporting that includes system data gathering, analytical techniques and system evaluation methodology; develop conclusions, options and recommendations that address uncertain, unpredictable issues that affect program performance.
Organize and deliver briefings and written reports of major significance to top management.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Applying project management techniques and best practices for supporting, researching, analyzing, and developing investment and product budgets, projecting cost and scheduling, reporting, compliance and customer relations.
Examples of this experience may include:
- Managing financial investment or collectible coins product lines.
- B2B relationship management with key account customers.
- Analyzing, measuring and tracking agency program performance and effectiveness in the financial/collectable (collectable/precious metals) markets.
-Managing, developing and/or preparing sales data and reports for senior management.
-Designing and implementing process improvement systems and procedures.
-Developing and presenting oral and written reports for senior management.
-Developing cost benefit analysis and conducting economic evaluations.
-Managing projects and conducting studies that support agency programs.
