You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (HAZMAT) in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE at GULFPORT, MS.
Duties
You will perform Authorized User List (AUL) processing, validation, and maintenance functions.
You will perform all item management roles regarding item establishment/removal, stock replenishment, customer order processing, outstanding container management, and all other functions involved with hazardous material management.
You will collect and maintain hazardous material operations and usage data and prepare reports utilizing automated systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Program (NERP).
You will maintain automated inventory records by conducting periodic physical inventories of hazardous materials.
You will physically handle hazardous materials through the use of all types of material handling equipment and transport vehicles available to the hazardous material workforce.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a wide range of technical supply support work, related to item management and control of hazardous materials, in order to ensure the effective operation of ongoing hazardous material (HAZMAT) supply activities. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying working knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions related to the operation of the HAZMAT locker, inventory management, storage, receipt, issue, and excess processing; 2) Utilizing various automated supply and hazardous material inventory control systems such as Navy Enterprise Resources Program (N-ERP) and Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management (CHRIMP) to monitor and maintain inventory of hazardous material and process and validate supply transactions; 3) Applying working knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements necessary to prepare complex supply and environmental reports; and 4) Providing customers with information on the proper handling of hazardous material, processing customer requests, and resolving customer issues.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
