You will serve as a Branch Head in the Integrated Logistics Support Division (E50) of NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION. You will provide matrixed logistics management support to expeditionary, littoral, and mine warfare programs. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14.

Duties

You will lead a diverse logistics branch and execute the full range of supervisory functions including personnel management and staffing (e.g., hiring, assigning work, performing evaluations, awards and recognition, and disciplinary actions). You will manage a diverse logistics branch performing integrated logistics support/integrated product support (ILS/IPS) program execution oversight and execute resource management. You will utilize and share your experience in the application of the ILS/IPS elements, as they relate to systems acquisition and life cycle management ? as well as acting as a ILS/IPS subject matter expert. You will communicate clearly and concisely, in both oral and written forms and create/author administrative and technical documents. You will utilize knowledge and experience in EEO programs and apply this knowledge in a positive manner to fulfill EEO responsibilities. You will coach and mentor members of the Branch to bring out their potential and develop future leaders in the life cycle logistics community.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating or analyzing integrated logistics support/integrated product support (ILS/IPS) functions for the acquisition or lifecycle sustainment of warfare systems.
