You will serve as a Configuration Management Team Lead within the Configuration Data Management Branch (S45) at the NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will provide integrated logistics support (ILS) task leadership for the configuration management functions in a matrixed workforce of assigned weapon systems, monitoring task execution and completion.
You will demonstrate extensive technical knowledge and skill in the application of configuration management principles, change management, policies, concepts, and methodologies.
You will possess knowledge of Configuration Management, Contract Data Requirements Lists, Technical Data Packages, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and the ability to provide configuration management support development and sustainment efforts.
You will perform overarching management of Configuration Management and support development efforts, conduct in-process reviews, and review related documentation required to support program and project events.
You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration baselines, conducting change management, and participating/chairing Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs).
You will lead, coach, and mentor team members and coordinate and work effectively with in-house and/or external teams.
You will provide updates and monitor Integrated Master Schedules to ensure projects meet the configuration management requirements during all phases of acquisition and sustainment.
You will enforce Configuration Management policies, procedures and priorities to support the goals and objectives for Division assigned systems and equipment.
You will oversee, advise, and monitor members of the workforce in all development and sustainment efforts required to fulfill program objectives.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing Configuration and Change management processes and procedures for an Integrated Logistics Support program.
