This position is located at DeAnza Sports & Fitness Center, Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. Announcement will have a first cutoff date of July 20, 2023, and applicants that submit a complete application packet prior to that date and found eligible may be given first consideration.

Duties

Plans, markets and conducts an ongoing program to provide conditioning programs for facility users. Supervises assigned personnel. Instructs individuals and groups in the proper conditioning and training for aerobic and muscular fitness, body composition and flexibility. Instructs patrons in the proper use of equipment and self-monitored progress by preparing written instructions for use of equipment and safety of all users. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
• Shift will usually be Monday-Friday 1300-2130, but can vary. Weekends and holidays may be required in support of special events.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Experience which enables the candidate to independently carry out a basic physical fitness program. Education or experience in managing a physical fitness program.
