This position is located in the Office of Communications (OCOM), Office of Justice Programs (OJP). The incumbent facilitates the accomplishment of OCOM's mission by providing internal office support in a wide range of administrative and other duties assigned in administrative management areas. This includes, but is not limited to, answering telephones, responding to inquiries in writing and verbally, formulating, recommending, monitoring, and reporting on the Office's budget.

MINIMUM FEDERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Qualifying experience for the GS-12 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-11 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience at the GS-11 level include: Provided internal office support in a wide range of administrative and other duties assigned in administrative management areas. Performed human resources management liaison and advisory services for an organization with human resources issues of a complex or specialized nature. Compiled, reviewed, and/or maintained data in spreadsheets and databases to monitor administrative and financial matters. Performed property accountability and inventory activities for an organization. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications as described above will be further evaluated based upon the following technical qualifications: Ability to plan and execute work. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to provide program management analysis, advice, and assistance. Ability to communicate in writing in performing supervisory or leader work.
