BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Director, Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Employment Opportunity (ODE), is responsible for overseeing the development and promulgation of policy and procedural guidance for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA); Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO); and Reasonable Accommodations (RA) programs.
Duties
BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: continuationThe Director serves as the NGA Chief Diversity Officer and the principal staff advisor to the NGA Director on matters pertaining to oversight responsibility for the direction and enforcement of all NGA EEO policies affecting civilian and assigned personnel worldwide. The Director drives and champions enterprise-wide efforts to develop strategies to create and maintain a culture of inclusion and fairness through diversity programming, outreach, and oversight of Special Emphasis Program (SEP) Councils; ensure fairness and equality in all processes and policies that affect civilian personnel; conducts regular reviews of Agency personnel programs, processes and policies in compliance with the EEO Commission (EEOC) regulations.; proposes solutions to barriers identified for particular demographic groups; provides state-of-the-art assistive technology and RAs to support employees with disabilities. The incumbent leads the discrimination complaints process, ensuring it is compliant with the law, timely and impartial. The Director develops and executes strategic DEIA plans utilizing data-driven approaches, cross-agency partnerships, transparency, and promotes leadership and accountability at all levels. The incumbent guides NGA in closing DEIA opportunity gaps that have been identified through internal deliberative processes, external oversight findings, and best practices. This is a tier 3 DISES/SIS.
