Duties

Review, book, manage, track, result and close all referrals in support of the Fort Rucker Patient Service Area. Coordinate care with patient, Military Treatment Facility and local healthcare providers and/or staff. Contact patients, provider and/or staff to obtain referral reports/results or status of request for referral. Enter, retrieve, and update data utilizing various automated healthcare systems such as MHS Genesis. Record, retrieve, correct, merge, query or print data and/or reports.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing customer service to patients and/or beneficiaries by providing information on facility policy and/or guidance, such as healthcare benefits; reviewing and/or updating patient information in an automated system; providing briefings and/or training to a group or individuals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
