You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Salary Range for GS-09: $66,134 - 85,971
Salary Range for GS-07: $54,067 - 70,286
Duties
You will use an office automation software program to compose financial reports providing status updates or business information
You will assess an organization's compliance with financial laws and regulations.
You will reconcile customer accounts to verify accuracy of account information.
You will adapt financial management practices and procedures to address programmatic issues.
You will balance Command Financial Management System (CFMS) authorizations, commitments, and obligations with various Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System (SABRS) reports to identify and correct discrepancies
You will correct problems identified in internal and external audit reports.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

To be considered for GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Assisting in validating financial data using well-established accounting and budgetary principles and practices;
2) Extracting budget or program data using a financial management system (e.g., funds management system, Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system, or similar system) to review and analyze funding actions from accounting records, forms, and reports;
3) Collecting financial data and making basic computations according to established standards; and
4) Preparing routine financial reports, fact sheets, or correspondence that provided financial information.

To be considered for GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Performing techniques as a Financial Management Specialist in a developmental capacity providing support for a financial management program by receiving and tracking financial correspondence related to the program;
2) Reviewing pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures and applying them to limited and/or routine work assignments in an administrative field; and
3) Assisting in performing basic accounting, auditing, or budgeting tasks in support of financial management programs.

Education

OR
Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.

Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
Applicants applying for the GS-09 may qualify if you have:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
