Duties

Develop lesson plans independently within the framework of approved curriculum standards, course outlines, texts, and guidelines. Plan, develop, and organize long-range lesson plans and daily class work to ensure in-depth learning within the timeframe allotted to meet the course/curriculum content standards. Select, adapt, or modify teaching methods or materials that experience indicates will be most effective in teaching the assigned grade level(s) and subject matter. Support, counsel, and motivate students to meet or exceed grade-level standards.

Requirements

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.
• One year trial or probationary period may be required.
• Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
• This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens Applicant must have at least a Bachelor's Degree. The Preferred applicant will be certified in grades K-12 in their desired position. A major in business or a minimum of 30 semester hours in the field of business is required. Course work must include one accounting course, a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper level business courses and a minimum of 9 semester hours in computer science courses.
