The primary purpose of a Commissary Contractor Monitor is to Conduct quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding and/or other contracted services performed in a commissary. in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility.

Duties

Conducts quality assurance inspections and contractor surveillance. Provides comments and recommendations for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives. Approves or rejects contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness. Maintains the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable. Advises commissary or contracted order writers. Acts as the commissary manager's representative during the night time hours to ensure government property is secure. Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of experience. Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services. Applying retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts. Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory. (specialized experience) equivalent to at least GS-5. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical requirements: (1) The work requires some physical exertion to include long periods of standing, walking in commissary stores and storage areas, and recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities. Education

Foreign Education.
