You will serve as a REGIONAL INTEGRATED PREVENTION COORDINATOR in the Commander, Navy Installations Command of COMMANDER NAVY REGION MARIANAS.
THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE ANNOUNCEMENT. The National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2020 streamlines certain Department of Defense (DoD) civilian Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates directly to certain DoD competitive service positions.
Duties
You will provide programmatic oversight of all components of the Integrated Prevention Workforce (IPW) within the Region.
You will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training, education, and outreach for integrated primary prevention programs implemented at the Region and
installation levels.
You will address problematic/destructive behaviors, including, but not limited to, suicide, sexual harassment, sexual assault, substance misuse, family and interpersonal violence, workplace violence, and military equal opportunity.
You will develop and present findings, reports or recommendations to analysts, employees, managers inside or outside of the organization, agency heads or other high-ranking officials.
You will Ensures any relevant certification inspection and other program policy standards are met.
You will resolve problems and develop approaches or methods for utilization within the Region.
Requirements

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Obtain and maintain a current state drivers license to facilitate travel to training and to coordinate
tasks/actions with clients, command and military and civilian agencies within the local area of the Region.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience in programs and fostering an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission. Monitors progress and evaluates outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Served in positions holding self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.
*Experience in determining objectives, sets priorities, and ensures sound management processes and procedures are in place, ensuring that national interests are well served.
*Experience in formulating objectives and priorities and implementing plans consistent with long-term interests of the organization in a global environment that takes into consideration the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values.
*Experience in developing and presenting findings, reports or recommendations to analysts, employees, managers inside or outside of the organization, agency heads or other high-ranking officials. Findings, reports, and recommendations support management decision-making.

Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual. Applicants must possess:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
