GAO is an independent, nonpartisan legislative branch agency that advises Congress on ways to make the federal government more efficient and effective. GAO's Office of the General Counsel (OGC) employs about 180 attorneys who carry out a range of legal functions in support of GAO's mission. OGC is hiring 2Ls or equivalents for its paid 2024 Summer Associate Legal Honors Program, which may lead to offers of permanent employment for entry-level positions for the fall of 2025.
