Duties
This position involves execution and oversight of Video Services (VS) activities in support of the DAU Enterprise. Duties include, but are not limited to the execution of the following activities:
Serves as principle action officer for planning, scheduling, and execution of all activities that support the DAU VS production mission.
Serves as lead producer responsible for the overall management and execution of video production and support for all conferences, symposiums, and ceremonies including the planning, production, scheduling, and execution of large scale live events for in-person and virtual audience held in Howell auditorium or similar venue (approx 330 seats).
Responsible for consulting with clients to discuss the general concept, objective, and target audience of professionally recorded and edited videos including appropriate use of production services to achieve the customers' stated objective; communicates with customers throughout design, development, and execution of support to ensure outcomes meet or exceed customer expectations. Ensures members of the AV directorate collaborates with customers in taking a video from concept to a fully produced end-product, including pre-planning meetings and storyboarding of proposed videos.
Responsible for and oversight of the creation of professionally filmed and edited 4K video, able to provide guidance on multi-camera setups, lighting sound recording chroma key, motion graphics , and video editing. Responsible for overall production values and aesthetic quality of all AV productions.
May be assigned as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracted audio, video, streaming, and recording activities.
Responsible for the effective data storage for all B-Roll, clips, audio recordings, and completed videos on local drive arrays, as well as the uploading and maintenance of completed videos on the DAU media streaming server. This includes record keeping of all files on shared drive locations.
Responsible for the inventory control and tracking of all production related equipment, to include editing computers, camera systems, lighting gear, microphones, and other related production equipment. Alternate contact for inventory control of all VS equipment to include bench stock, tools and equipment, and installed AV equipment throughout each DAU location.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.
- You may be required to serve a one (1) year probationary period.
- The incumbent of this position may be required to work overtime, irregular shifts, and/or on the weekend.
- Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on commercial aircraft.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the general education and/or experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management positions.
Specialized Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband, NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade, GS-11 or equivalent, in other personnel pay systems including specialized experience as follows:
Specialized Experience:
Demonstrated experience in serving as a Producer, Director and/or Editor of an audiovisual production.
Demonstrated skill and experience with performing work in the production of videotaped and live broadcast programs.
Experience with filming and editing 4K video and content distribution and MS Chroma Key is highly desirable.
Experience in planning and executing complex, multi-faceted projects within established financial and time constraints.
Experience with inventory control and tracking of all production related equipment.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
