Provides program support including administrative and clerical oversight, as well as reviews all incoming correspondence, and routes information with minimal supervisory involvement at the Bruce W Carter Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Duties
Major duties include but aren't limited to:
Serving as primary Timekeeper.
Maintaining a call schedule.
Using various automated systems to create, edit, and format reports.
Coordinating and managing supplies, telephone, and computer moves.
Receiving and screening visitors.
Coordinating in-processing and orientation activities of trainees from academic affiliates.
Coordinating an appointment calendar.
Establishing suspense controls for replies.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Qualifications

This position requires a typing requirement of 40 words per minute.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Serving as a Timekeeper; maintaining schedules; completing tasks within a given deadline; using automated systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, graphics; coordinating and managing supplies; receiving and screening visitors; managing correspondence; coordinating appointment calendars.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary in a hospital office inside the administrative radiology service. The job requires sitting, walking, standing, bending, and carrying small supplies and equipment.
