This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) within the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC). NPRC is responsible for responding to requests for information from military and civilian personnel records and associated series. Requests are serviced by providing reproductions from textual and micrographic records in NPRC holdings and by referencing electronic records systems and sending digital responses to requesters.
Duties
As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will:
Serve as the senior Management Analyst for all NPRC information technology activities, providing leadership focused on acquisition, development, deployment, operation and maintenance of NPRC systems.
Supervise a staff with responsibility for developing and continuously improving and simplifying processes, procedures, and workflows.
Serve as Technical Advisor to the director on matters pertaining to the release of information from military and civilian personnel records and other records in NPRC's custody for sensitive issues.
Manage CMRS interfaces with other information technology applications, including some that are external to NARA.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Leading or supervising the work of staff that perform administrative work to support an organization; AND
Communicating with customers internally and externally to provide information and resolve issues; AND
Managing multiple projects, using time management to complete work within set deadlines; AND
Collecting, analyzing, and presenting qualitative and quantitative data regarding processes, procedures, or workflow processes in order to make recommendations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
