Duties
Conduct complex and conventional projects for Chemical Biological Defense prototype systems.
Evaluate product and schedule requirements to make recommendations to project leaders.
Participate in meetings and project review of Chemical Biological defense prototype systems.
Modify existing products, or complete fabrication, integration, and/or post processing of prototypes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance for duration of employment.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel up to 25% of the time.
- Pre-employment physical required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Testing prototypes for Chemical Biological Defense systems, (2) Working directly with Engineers and/or Scientist while assisting in the development of Chemical Biological defense rapid prototype products or systems, AND (3) Providing technical advice on Chemical Biological Defense development and testing processes and methods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
