This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN TITLE 32, Position Description Number NGD0895000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard.

Duties
As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (Military) GS-2005-07, you will serve as manager for assigned materials. Maintain accounting and reporting systems for federal property and perform routine phases of material accountability. Reviews justification and approves issues for emergency requests. Process requests for issues that are not automatically processed using STAMIS interactive process. Manage and review supply transactions based on dollar limitations, status of Obligation Authority (OA), status of consumer funds and verifying with requisitioning activity. Coordinate with budget personnel (Budget Analyst, Supply Management Officer, and comptroller personnel) to determine authorizations for commitment and expenditure of funds. Is responsible for managing the DOD Activity Address File (DODAAF) to include additions, changes and deletions. Initiate and review input/output reports to ensure that adequate and accurate management information is provided as directed. Draft correspondence pertaining to individual transactions or stock numbers for assigned materials. Maintain record of all finalized correspondence and monitors suspense established by the supervisor as they apply to items managed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

- Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
- Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
- For positions requiring a security clearance Secret the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E-3 through E-7, WO-1 through CW-2, 0-1 through 0-2
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

Education Requirement: NONE
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
