As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will serve as a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) analyst by assisting and supporting with planning and operational support HSPD-12 related services for GSA.
Location of position: General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Mission Assurance, Personnel Security Division. Location to be determined after selection in one of the listed locations.

As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

The GS-09 salary range starts at $49,028 per year. Locality pay will be determined based on duty location.To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience for personnel security is defined as experience in supporting, agency wide security management plans and policies which includes: organizing and conducting analyses involving HSPD-12 initiatives, coordinating procedures to support the creation, issuance, and management of Personal Identity Verification (PIV), supporting the use of the credentials for secure electronic access of employees and contractors to Federal buildings and information systems as called for by HSPD-12, and managing the background investigation process for federal employees and contractors OR I have a master`s or equivalent level degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B. or JD if applicable. OR I possess a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
