About the Position: This position is located with Letterkenny Army Depot Directorate of Information Management.

Duties

Maintain contact with private industry and academic institutions to improve the installation operations. Develop short-and long-range depot information technology management plans (operational and mobilization). Administer information systems policies and programs for the depot and tenant organizations. Assist the organization and tenants with Logistics Modernization Program Increment and logistics ERP systems. Supervise depot activities in the information management administration areas of systems, domain, email, database, and active directory. Support special emphasis programs (e.g. AS9010, ISO14001, Lean Six Sigma, Voluntary Protection Program, EEO) to sustain their effectiveness throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
  • This position is subject to a one year supervisory probationary period.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
  • Must be willing to accept a temporary position.
  • This is a Mission Essential position.

Qualifications

This position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee, and maybe extended up to a maximum of 5 years. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of 3 years. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Administering information technology operations that include servers, systems, enterprise email, networks, and databases; 2) Ensuring the workforce follows Information Assurance and Cyber Security policies; 3) Analyzing information systems requirements such as equipment, facilities, supplies, personnel, and funds; and 4) Identifying short/long range work schedules, priorities, and training needs. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information Resources Management (IRM)Information Technology Customer SupportInformation Technology Policy and PlanningSystem Administration Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
