About the Position: You will serve as a Processing Technician (Office Automation) for the Denver Military Entrance Processing Station providing additional administrative assistance with the transportation arrangements for military enlistees. The duty location of this position is Denver, Colorado.
Duties
Verify information with applicant and types Emergency Data Records
Coordinate travel arrangements with senior service liaisons, airlines, the DTMP, and Commercial Travel Office (CTO) to secure airline tickets.
Conduct the pre-enlistment and/or the pre-accession interviews of applicants in order to gather information previously not disclosed which would bear on moral or physical suitability for enlistment.
Perform Quality Review/quality control of applicant records, packets and forms.
Maintain records of orders, distributes copies of transportation orders and enlistment contracts.
Provide monthly Government Travel Registers (GTR's) and meal checks log in accordance with regulation 55-2.
Requirements
- A successful completion of background investigation (NACI/T1).
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a qualified typist; able to type at least 40 words per minute.
- This position may require the incumbent to work occasional Saturday and/or shift work.
- This position will require the incumbent to work occasional unscheduled overtime to accommodate fluctuations in workload based on the daily mission requirements.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: One year of demonstrated/documented experience in 1) questioning applicants and/or individuals to obtain information; 2) using a personal computer or computer terminal for word processing and/or database management; AND 3) preparing a variety of documents such as shipping and/or travel documents or transportation orders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non temporary competitive appointment.
