This position is located at the United States Mint in the Manufacturing Unit of the Planning and Customer Support Division. As a Supplier Management Specialist, you will be responsible for effectively managing the Mint's critical suppliers of numismatic packaging materials and other critical materials necessary to efficiently produce numismatic products at the United States Mint (approximately $500 Million annually).

Duties

As a Supplier Management Specialist, you will: Manage the acquisition of packaging, and other critical supplies needed for the production of numismatic products Track performance and report on the progress toward meeting goals of the United States Mint's four coin production facilities Serve as the Manager for obtaining critical supplies to support operations in the manufacture of numismatic products Develop and maintain inventory tracking reports and planned production schedules to determine required acquisition and delivery requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: -Identifying material requirements in support of industrial and/or manufacturing processes; AND -Managing the supplies needed in support of industrial and/or manufacturing operations.
