Duties
You will directly supervise Cybersecurity workforce personnel within an organization in implementing Information Technology compliance and security procedures in accordance with DoD/DON policies and directives.
You will provide administrative, technical, and professional oversight of subordinate cybersecurity practitioners, administrators, and technical personnel.
You will plan and schedule work and decide methodologies to use in achieving work goals and objectives.
You will develop cybersecurity policy and guidelines to ensure compliance with directives in force.
You will serve as an ISSE or validator in support of authorization packages under the RMF process.
You will be responsible for all cybersecurity issues for operational General Service (GENSER) systems and networks.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience supervising Cybersecurity workforce personnel implementing Information Technology compliance and security procedures in accordance with DoD/DON policies and directives;
-Experience providing administrative, technical, and professional oversight of subordinate cybersecurity practitioners, administrators, and technical personnel;
-Experience planning and scheduling work deciding methodologies to use in achieving work goals and objectives;
-Experience developing cybersecurity policy and guidelines to ensure compliance with directives in force;
-Experience developing cybersecurity programs that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with cybersecurity vulnerabilities;
-Experience developing and implementing strategies and planning for operations of systems integration and environmental testing.
