Duties
You will serve as a SOCIAL WORKER/LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR in the Embedded Mental Health Program (EMHP) of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) N01M Force Medical Department (N0IM).
You will identify and diagnoses psychological, emotional, medical, and behavioral issues and disorders.
You will interact with patients to assist them in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning actions to achieve effective development and adjustment.
You will provide counseling to individuals and groups regarding behavioral problems, physical and mental illnesses, and physical rehabilitation in order to modify behavior or improve personal, social, and vocational adjustment.
You will collaborate with physicians, other EMHP and medical support professionals to develop and implement treatment and intervention.
You will interact with case management personnel and specialty care organizations and providers to coordinate integrated care.
Requirements

Qualifications
BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Degree: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
EXPERIENCE:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience identifying and diagnosing psychological disorders and behavioral conditions and possesses the ability to quickly understand how they influence fitness and suitability for military service and special duty.
Experience performing empirical psychological treatment methods and planning with individuals and groups.
Experience maintaining clinical documentation, record reviews, and report writing.
Experience providing psychoeducational briefing to groups, consulting to physicians and support personnel, specialty care coordination, and communicating with key leaders and supervisors on patient disposition and recommendations.
