You will serve as a Training Specialist (Hearing Conservation Program Manager) in the Public Health Services Directorate of NMRTC PATUXENT RIVER MD.
Duties
You will be responsible for effective and efficient utilization of the DOEHRS- HC and DR systems .
You will monitor all trouble calls for DOEHRS-HC and DR related problems and user concerns and works to eliminate all user challenges to using this system effectively.
You will perform routine analysis of data.
You will oversee the work of entry level and full performance level health technicians (audiology).

- According to NMCPHC-TM-OEM 6260.7 Health Care Workers (HCW) with potential exposure to blood/ infectious materials (BOPIMs) will be offered the hepatitis B vaccine (HBV) or immunity testing. Declination Form may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current certification with DOEHRS-HC through approved Council for Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservationists (CAOHC) Courses.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .
Experience working within Hearing Conservation management system, such as Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS).
Experience providing training with software and hardware such as Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System - Hearing Conservation, and Data Repository (DOEHRS-HC and DR).
Experience administering audiometric examinations.
Experience using equipment for audiometric testing, recording and interpreting results, and determining need for referral.

Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
