About the Position: The position is located at Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah. Dugway executes efficient testing and support to enable our nation's defenders to counter chemical, biological, radiological, and explosives (CBRE) hazards. The clinic provides occupational health and industrial hygiene services.
Duties
Consults with clinical staff to resolve patient care equipment problems.
Implements Patient Care Equipment modifications, to include checking product modifications, with guidance from appropriate regulatory agencies.
Installs specialized and complex equipment, to include invasive and non-invasive radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, electrocardiograph and electroencephalograph units, etc., for use by medical clinics.
Document equipment in terms of manufacturer's literature, to include schematic diagrams, maintenance schedules, troubleshooting procedures, etc.
Tests medical equipment in current use to determine it's serviceability.
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience using schematic diagrams, variety of test equipment, application of appropriate electronic formulas involved in such duties as testing, troubleshooting, modifying, designing, calibrating, installing, maintaining, repairing, constructing, developing, and/or instructing on electronic equipment, or similar functions; developing policies, standards, and procedures for maintenance and installation. This type of work must clearly show that the applicant applied a specialized knowledge of the theories and principles of a variety of electronic systems or equipment.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
